    The objective of the assignment was to improve the quality of the manufactured food throughout applying sound Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and identifying potential areas of risks.

    The methodology followed entailed assessing and improving the food safety procedure followed by the working staff at the food factory for the purpose of mitigating risks and hazards associated with the food production process.

    The technical assistance also pursued developing a structured manual for food processing safety procedures with high standards that fit to the requirements of the Palestinian Specifications and Standard Institute.

    In addition, the assistance provided an on-job training for the ‘Hygienic Food Handling’ covering the sound practices in handling and packaging the processed food for the purpose of sustaining high quality standards.
