The project tasks can be summarized as the following :

• Reviewing the current simple procedure for licensing and monitoring the private sector desalination plants and water vendors.
• Reviewing the draft web based connected to GIS procedure setup by PWA for licensing water projects.
• Reviewing the technical information and the legal status of the existing private sector desalination plants, delivery system and water vendors companies.
• Prepare Licensing and Monitoring Regulations and Guidelines for private desalination plants and water vendors
• Carrying out a training needs analysis of PWA staff and related authorities to carry out their regulatory function based on interviews, job descriptions and discussions with PWA top management
