This project was assigned to the joint venture of Antea Group/EMCC/ Engicon to carry out this study. Al Fukhari Sanitary Landfill is intended to accept 152,000 m3 of municipal solid waste (MSW) per year during the initial operation period, growing to 212,000 m3 per year in 2017. Al Fukhari Landfill is expected to provide solid waste disposal services to municipalities in the south of Gaza, including Deir al Balah, Khan Yunis and Rafah. Acceptable waste streams include non-hazardous municipal solid waste from households, enterprises; street sweeping and market waste, and excludes materials collected separately for recycling purposes, hazardous waste, infectious waste, building debris and odoriferous waste.
Tasks of Consultant
- Review project designs.
- Supervising the work carried out.
- Review the shop drawings.
- Review all reports (Daily, weekly and monthly).
- Coordination between the relevant authorities.
- Review all payments.
