EMCC is one of the Palestinian-known engineering companies established in Gaza in 1995 as a consulting firm to meet the demanding need for professional engineering, management and institutional strengthening services. The Center was then registered at the Association of Engineers in Gaza and it is registered in Canada. Engineering and Management Consulting Centre (EMCC) is currently the Consultant for the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for pursuing, monitoring and evaluating all of the projects implemented in Gaza Strip, in addition to, participation of the main programs which include but are not limited to the following: Recovery and Reconstruction Plans, Water and Wastewater Projects, Rehabilitation and Urgent Support, Construction and extension of several Schools, Colleges, Universities, Centers and Buildings, Infrastructure projects, procurement activities, and assistance distribution.
EMCC staff has the depth of experience to provide their clients with competent, innovative, and appropriate solutions that are functional, flexible, and cost-effective. During several studies, EMCC experts used quantitative and qualitative analysis methods. Qualified experts are proposed to perform the activities of the cited assignment. For this assignment, the proposed staff comprises a number of highly qualified engineers and specialists who have many years of experience in the fields of Projects evaluation, Development plans Capacity building and training, Strategic planning, Community development, Reporting, Organizational Development, Projects planning and management, financial management, Supervision and monitoring, Data collection and analysis, Programs management, and Training activities. The members of the formed Project team have repeatedly carried out tasks similar to those under this assignment. EMCC staff follow best practices and techniques in delivering high-quality consulting services.
EMCC has conducted several consultancy services and research studies in partnership with the Gaza Strip and West Bank consulting firms. EMCC has also been associated with some consulting firms in Europe, Africa, Asia, and USA to provide integrated solutions. In addition, EMCC usually contracts with local experts of various specialties on a task-specific basis.
EMCC is associated with several consulting firms in Europe and the U.S. in addition to experts from local universities and institutions. EMCC’s Clients for similar projects include the World Bank (WB), Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF), Welfare Association (WA), Support to Municipal Development and Management in the Middle Area Municipalities (SMDM), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and most of the donor agencies working in the Palestinian Territories, such as FINIDA, USAID, UNIDO, Save the Children Federation (SCF), SIDA, IDB, Metcalf & Eddy, JICA, DANIDA, GTZ, CHF, IR – Pal, Qatar Charity, QRC, TRC, Oxfam, Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI), and the Louis Berger Group Inc. among others.
