The assignment included providing an update on the status of the drinking water being produced by desalination plants in the Gaza Strip. In essence, this assignment will provide an update to the 2015 report about the Survey of Private and Public Brackish Desalination Plants in the Gaza Strip.
The consultant task as summarized below:
- Updating the database for all existing desalination plants in the Gaza Strip.
- Conducted laboratory testing for all operating plants.
- The testing also included random tests for water trucks and household storage tanks. A minimum of 150 samples were taken randomly from the trucks.
